Type: Contract, Temporary Full-Time
Duration: 12-month contract
Compensation: Competitive, commensurate with experienceAbout the Role:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Interface Analyst to join their Information & Communication Technology (ICT) team. This is a 12-month temporary full-time contract role, reporting to the Manager of Information & Communication Technology. You will play a crucial role in the design, build, testing, implementation, and documentation of application interfaces and integrations between the new Meditech Expanse platform, Summit Interface Engine, and other 3rd party applications, partners, and services.Key Responsibilities:Interface Design & Implementation
- Lead multiple interface projects from inception through completion as part of the Meditech Expanse project implementation, adhering to the project timeline.
- Build, test, and troubleshoot HL7, FHIR, HTTP, JSON, SFTP, VB Script, and File interfaces between Meditech Expanse, Summit Interface Engine, and other applications.
- Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to coordinate technical requirements, build/test activities, and communicate timelines.
Testing & Troubleshooting
- Coordinate and perform end-to-end testing for each interface and manage fixes, changes, or enhancements.
- Take responsibility for troubleshooting and resolving integration/system-related issues between applications, engaging vendors as necessary.
- Monitor interface performance and error logs, proactively addressing issues to improve performance.
Documentation & Reporting
- Develop, consolidate, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all interfaces.
- Ensure that maintenance, change control, and documentation protocols are followed.
- Provide regular interface status updates and reports, identifying any risks and mitigation strategies.
- Provide knowledge transfer of interface build throughout and at the conclusion of the project to ICT Application team members.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Information Technology preferred; candidates with equivalency in education and experience will also be considered).
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of hospital experience with a solid understanding and working knowledge of Hospital Information Systems (experience with Meditech preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with an interface platform such as Summit Exchange, Cloverleaf, BizTalk, etc., with demonstrated proficiency in HL7 and related interface protocols (Summit Exchange experience preferred).
- Experience in Hospital Information System project implementation and support is an asset.
- As of September 7th, 2021, all applicants must provide proof of full vaccination against Covid-19 or provide written proof of a medical or religious exemption as per organizational policy.

- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
- Reliable with an excellent attendance record and the ability to participate in after-hours planned downtimes/application support.
Additional Competencies:
- Experience/knowledge in relational databases (Microsoft SQL) is an asset.
- Experience/knowledge in automation software (Fortra Automate) is an asset.
