Job Description Summary

BASIC FUNCTION:
Analyze and forecast trends in all areas of Enrollment Management, including student recruitment, enrollment, retention, and financial aid. Create models and projections to inform Senior Management regarding risks, opportunities and probable outcomes of recruitment and financial aid strategies designed to enhance the University’s enrollment targets. Work independently, manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and accurately interpret and present data.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
In the area of Data Analysis and Projection:
Analyze trends, create detailed statistical models, and generate enrollment forecasts.
Develop predictive models to support enrollment projections and optimize financial aid allocation.
Utilize statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to enhance student success initiatives.
In the area of Data Handling and Reporting:
Extract data from university systems such as PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and Slate.
Clean and integrate data from various sources to construct analytical datasets.
Prepare comprehensive reports, including tables, visualizations, and narrative descriptions of research findings.
In the area of Professional Development:
Stay current with advances in statistical analysis and machine learning.
Remain competent and current on enrollment management best practices through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development courses and/or conferences.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with other University offices including Institutional Research, Financial Strategy and Planning, Graduate School, Admission, and Enrollment Services.
Be flexible with work hours to meet analysis requests.
Perform other duties as required.
LICENSES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:
Personal computers, printers; word processing, database management and spreadsheet software (Excel); Internet and World Wide Web; PeopleSoft or other enterprise data systems; SPSS or similar software.
Required QualificationsREQUIRED:
1. Bachelor’s degree in statistics, data science, or related field.
2. Minimum of two years’ professional experience performing statistical analysis using SPSS, SAS or similar software.
3. Demonstrated training in statistical theory and applied research.
4. Demonstrated work-related experience in multivariate statistics.
5. Demonstrated experience summarizing complex research and analysis into statistical reports and presentations.
6. Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
7. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information.
8. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, establish priorities, and meet deadlines.
9. Demonstrated strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
10. Demonstrated proficiency with written communication skills.
11. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations.
Preferred QualificationsPREFERRED:
1. Master’s degree.
2. Demonstrated experience in higher education working with admission, enrollment, and/or financial aid data.
3. Demonstrated experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
4. Demonstrated working knowledge of Power BI, SQL.
