We are looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to join the team at our packaging plant, TC Montréal, in Pointe-aux-Trembles.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the candidate will be responsible for strategic human resources planning, organizational development, guidelines and programs relating to employment, compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations, recruitment and retention, as well as compliance with all provincial labour laws.The HRBP will have the opportunity to be part of TC Transcontinental’s HR network in order to share best practices from other Canadian and American plants.The candidate will be a member of the plant’s management committee and will play both a strategic and operational role.When your actions lead to success.
- Support and coach managers to help them achieve their business objectives; provide advice on compensation, performance reviews, employee skills development plans and workforce planning;
- Manage and support the entire employee life cycle including the recruitment process, from interview to onboarding, and participating in various initiatives related to workforce attraction and retention;

- Provide training to develop our employees and managers;
- Update documents and draft internal communications (communication screens, memos, etc.);
- Suggest ways of continuously improving processes and updating HR policies;
- Support and contribute to a healthy and safe working environment by complying with all applicable workplace regulations, policies and initiatives, including reporting all injuries, accidents and workplace hazards.
- Propose and organize a multitude of initiatives related to employee engagement and enjoy participating in various plant committees (OHS Committee, Social Club, Christmas Party Organizing Committee, Centraide, etc.).

- Member of the Ordre des Conseillers en Ressources Humaines Agréés ; (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or industrial relations;
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in human resources in a manufacturing environment (an asset);
- Bilingualism (French and English), as daily communication with North American operations is essential to the position.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to build trust quickly;
