Economic success and corporate responsibility are inextricably linked as part of this process.Symrise – always inspiring more…Your roleReporting to the Vice President, Human Resources North America, the Human Resources Business Partner Canada & US West (HRBP) collaborates with internal customers to develop business improvement solutions, and will localize and implement impactful HR strategies for diverse markets and site locations. The HRBP will be the go-to point of contact for local managers and employees, and a driving force in delivering top-notch HR processes in collaboration with Operations & Service Solutions Teams and Center of Excellence specialists to make a real impact. Broad responsibilities include:Team Leadership

  • Build the bridge between the Regional HR VP and Local BP teams
  • Maintain ONE HR culture within the team and reinforce across divisions, countries, and segments.
  • Consolidate division, segment or country-specific information from local HRBPs, extracting relevant implications, actions and strategies for regional HR leadership to help shape and adjust regional HR strategies.
  • Connect to Regional HRBPs to receive division/segment specific strategic guidance and cascade down to the local HRBP teams for execution.

Employee Lifecycle

  • Manage and supervise employee relations day-to-day queries and processes balancing workload among the team and distributing priorities across divisions, segments and/or countries in accordance with the evolving business needs.
  • Provide guidance and oversight in the local hiring process, supporting decision-making and crafting job descriptions.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Supervise the facilitation of seamless communication between management and employees. Oversee the organization of town hall meetings, surveys, and strategic communication strategies. Ensure that day-to-day HR queries, including shift plans, health management, and safety concerns, are appropriately addressed.
  • Drive the development and implementation of employee relations strategies aligned with organizational goals. Ensure the proper preparation and management of Compensation and Benefits (C&B) packages. Supervise the handling of employee concerns based on C&B frameworks.

The HRBP will work in a fast-paced, challenging environment in which team players are valued. The incumbent will be accountable for leading projects, contributing to and improving HR processes and programs, ensuring consistent policy and practice compliance across divisions, functions and geographies.About youA Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field of study is required; MBA desirable. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience and should have a solid leadership track record implementing HR processes and programs. Experience with Diversity and Inclusion programs preferred. Candidate must possess outstanding leadership, influencing, interpersonal, teamwork, project management and tactical implementation skills. Individual must have excellent communication skills and have sound knowledge of Canadian and US labor laws. Must be fluent in English and French.
