Reference No. R2766086​Position Title: Medical Science Liaison​Department: MSL Management Oncology & Rare Blood Canada ​Duration: Fixed Term: Contract end Date February 2, 2026Location: Remote, Toronto, Ontario​About the JobThe Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Rare Blood Disorders, is a field-based role responsible for cultivating current and future Thought Leaders by sharing evidence-based data to support commercialized products, to introduce forthcoming products, and to engage them in Sanofi clinical development programs.The MSL will:

  • Present data and disease management concepts on medical treatment to Physicians, Nurses, and Patient Support Groups when requested.
  • Contribute to developing research opportunities (local clinical trials & investigator-initiated studies) and educational projects at academic institutions.
  • Provide therapeutic area support including response to unsolicited off-label information on products & therapies, if requested by healthcare practitioners.

We chase the miracles of science every single day, pursuing progress to make a real impact on millions of patients around the world.Main Responsibilities:Thought Leader DevelopmentIdentify, develop, and maintain relationships with current and future Thought Leaders.Develop speakers and advocates among Thought Leaders.Link internal partners to external Thought Leaders for education and research collaboration.Advisory board development of scientific content which is relevant and aligned with global prioritiesLink Thought Leaders to other external customers.Publication planning and implementation.Medical EducationDisseminate scientific information including innovative medical education materials and research concepts to Thought Leaders.Deliver clinical and scientific presentations to healthcare audiences.Foster medical and scientific information exchange between the medical community and Sanofi.Contribute to strategic initiatives and training of the sales/marketing teams.Develop and maintain a database of relevant educational slide kitsExternal scientific material review e.g most current and relevant publications National conference activities: attendance, key abstract identification, executive summary of presentations and posters from the conferencePartnering with medical information in development and review of written responsesClinical and Scientific training for both medical and marketingClinical DevelopmentStudy site identification, recruitment facilitation and enrollment.Discuss and support the submission of Investigator Initiated Study proposalsIdentify existing data and facilitate publications as appropriate.Customer Relationship ManagementPresents evidence-based clinical and scientific data to support therapeutic decisions in patient care.Liaise between academic centres and Sanofi.Contributes to the evaluation of grants for educational and research initiatives.Interact with the US and Global Medical Affairs rare blood disorders teamAbout YouRequirements:Education:Degree from an accredited university (MSc, PhD, Pharm D, MD) requiredArea of specialization related to therapeutic area preferredPost-bachelor’s degree from accredited university (e.g. MBA or equivalent): valuable, not requiredExperience:Minimum two or more years in an MSL functionClinical experience in rare blood disordersDemonstrated experience in building relationship with Thought Leaders, pharmacists, nurses, and patient support groups.Specific Skills and/or Competencies:Entrepreneurial spirit/Self-dependent.Leadership skillsStrategic agilityResults-orientedStrong verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detailScientific and business acumenAbility to critically appraise scientific dataFacilitation skillsNegotiation skillsExperience in developing and providing training and education programsLanguages:Written and spoken EnglishFrench a definite assetTravelTravel is required up to 75% of the time.
