We are looking for an Shipper Receiver to join our manufacturing and distribution team in Langley, BC on a temporary to permanent ,full time basis.Our manufacturing and distribution plant located in Langley, BC is the largest value added protein provider in Canada supplying our customers with high quality products.
Our products range from poultry, beef to pork products, and we pride ourselves on our outstanding service and a long list of customers in both retail and food service.
As the Shipper Receiver you will be responsible for ensuring all orders are completed, all documentation meets policy, inventory control to ensure discrepancies are reported and accounted for, products are shipped efficiently and correctly to the delivery schedule. Use of Sit Down Counterbalance forklift to move pallets to shipping area, loading and unloading of inbound and outbound products while following all safety protocols and procedures.The right candidate will have a positive attitude, up beat energy and is comfortable to be trained on new processes!What you need to know:

-The right candidate will have the opportunity for a permanent placement after probationResponsibilities
-Ensure all customer orders are complete, documentation is correct and distributed and product is shipped according to delivery schedule, immediately
-Inventory control, reporting any discrepancies immediately
-Having product location knowledge, selects, assembles and transports to loading dock according to shipping schedule. Ensure product rotation – first in, first out.
-Adhere to health and safety, food safety and HACCP procedures.
-Responsible for slotting of all frozen product and dry goods in a careful and timely manner.
-Ensure a cardboard sheet is place between double stacked skids.
-Load and unload trucks, as required ensuring documentation is correct.
-Maintain and organize freezer, dock applying proper housekeeping standards and reporting any and all damage immediately.
-Assist in taking freezer inventory at period end.
-Maintain and operate equipment in a safe manner
-Maintain a clean and safe work environment; daily organization
-Follow all safety protocols and proceduresQualifications
-You bring previous experience in a like-minded facility or position
-Proficient operation of Sit Down Counterbalance, external ticket is an asset
-Proficiency in picking, packing, packaging, regular stock transfer, RF scanner and inventory control required
-Strong mathematical with computer and keyboarding skills being an asset
-You have strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
-Team player, adaptable, and energetic with a positive professional attitude when working individually or as a team
-Are great at communicating with others in both verbal and written format
-Can meet physical requirements of the role; ability to carry, lift, move product/supplies in excess of 50lbs
-Can stand, push, bend and lift for 8 hours shifts
-Ability to work well under pressure and with little supervision
-You are dependable and hold an above average attendance record
-You have Steel Toe Boots; all other PPE provided
-You are legally permitted to work full-time in British Columbia and are located in the Surrey regionSummary
