Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.Introduction: Prime Hires is seeking a skilled New Business Associate to join our client.Contract Dates: 6 months with potential to extend or convert
Pay Rate: $20.50 per hour
Business Hours: Monday to Friday (Hybrid/Remote)Job Responsibilities:

  • Primary contact with a plan sponsor’s previous service provider for a large case implementation. Implementation Specialist has the accountability for the relationship with this service provider, ensuring the needs, expectations and timelines set out in the project plan by the Implementation Manager, on behalf of the client, are being met
  • Project manages the tasks involved in an amendment or plan transfers, ensuring tasks are being completed according to the timelines set, regular updates provided to the individual in GRS that is managing the client relationship and issues are escalated as needed
  • Understanding the client’s needs and expectations
  • Implementation Specialist must ensure they have a complete grasp of clients’ issues and requirements as well as an understanding of all processes involved in the implementation of a new plan or the amendment process
  • Apply product, administration, legislation and privacy knowledge
  • Applies understanding of legislative and privacy guidelines when coordinating a plan transfer or amendment for a client
  • Ensures all government approvals, where required, have been received before assets are moved to Manulife
  • Works closely with Plan Design Specialist in processing of the member data and plan transfer
  • Participates in weekly status meetings with project team. Coordinates meetings, as needed, with those involved in delivery of the Implementation Specialist’s key tasks
  • Keeps Plan Member Admin up to date on amendments that will affect the staff’s knowledge of the client’s plan design and any changes in administration processes

Experience & Qualification Requirements:

  • Good technical skills with a strong ability to learn – Strong PC skills: Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word programs to be used for file manipulation and creation
  • Strong math skills used to reconcile reports and work with financial data
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to be able to effectively facilitate project team meetings, provide updates to the Implementation Manager and Client Relationship Manager as well as hold conference calls with other service providers to plan for the transfer of a plan sponsor’s assets
  • Demonstrated negotiation and problem-solving skills with the ability to recognize implications of issues and solutions
