On behalf of our public-sector client, we are recruiting for a Scrum Master (AI Projects) – Intermediate Level. This is a 12-month contract for a hybrid role requiring up to three days per week onsite in the lower mainland, with preference for local candidates.Summary of the RoleThe Scrum Master will support two or more AI-augmented agile teams, providing guidance on agile practices and facilitating the integration of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and machine learning. This role focuses on rapid prototyping, optimizing workflows, and fostering cross-team collaboration to deliver high-impact solutions aligned with department goals.Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and facilitate two or more agile teams through Proof of Concept (PoC) cycles, optimizing practices and workflows for efficiency and innovation.
  • Oversee agile events, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring continuous improvement and feedback integration.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, providing metrics, insights, and decision-making support through automated reports and visual dashboards.
  • Promote a learning culture, cross-training team members, and driving adoption of emerging technologies and agile practices.
  • Support organizational goals by removing barriers, motivating teams, and building partnerships across departments.

Core Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Release Train Engineer within a technology setting.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with agile practices, cloud, and DevOps.
  • 1+ year working with AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), natural language processing (NLP), and deep learning frameworks.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent, such as SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), CSPO, PMI-ACP.
  • Demonstrated experience with rapid prototyping and utilizing AI to enhance software development practices.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Awareness of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies and training.

TermsThis position is a 12-month contract with a hybrid work arrangement, requiring up to three days onsite each week in the lower mainland. Local candidates will be prioritized.
