Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

This person will be working in a small warehouse team as a material handler at their Vernon location.

Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Associate with a local manufacturing company. You will be operating a SDCB forklift, transporting materials to production and sorting, organizing and storing materials in the warehouse while ensuring that inventory records are accurate and up to date. The shift schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM and offers a pay rate of $22 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Pick inventory for assembly

• Sort, organize, and store inventory in the proper location

• Package items and label them correctly

• Stack and organize product in the warehouse

• Update inventory in ERP system

• Help prepare and package shipments using pallet wrapper and SDCB

Essential Skills

• 2 years of recent warehouse experience, including order picking and/or cycle counting

• 1 year of recent forklift experience (SDCB)

• Ability to lift 50lbs

• Great written and spoken English

• Great computer skills and previous ERP experience, with the ability to learn SAP system

• Forklift certified

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Direct material handling experience

• Manufacturing experience

• Pallet jack experience

• Great attitude

• Eager to learn

• Shares opinions and gives feedback to the team

• Flexibility with doing other tasks or moving departments if needed

• Strong sense of urgency

Work Environment

The company recently moved into this facility and is still optimizing it for maximum production output. The space is industrial yet clean, with sounds of machines operating but otherwise quiet. The temperature is room temperature, and the lunch/break room is air-conditioned. The warehouse team includes 2 others plus a warehouse supervisor. The shift is Monday to Friday, 7am-3:30pm, which could vary by 1-2 hours earlier or later. Employees receive two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute break.
