About the role

The successful applicant will be expected to be heavily involved in the project management and supervision of teams involved in clinical studies, submit publications to refereed journals, attract external research funding to the Centre and provide support to research staff. The successful applicant will be helping with multi-modal imaging study designs assessing neurotransmission and possible mechanisms [incl. brain plasticity and psychological flexibility] behind the therapeutic potential of the compounds in question. Imaging methods will include functional and structural magnetic resonance imaging or MRI, and electro-encephalography or EEG.

What you would be doing

The successful applicant will be expected to be heavily involved in the project management and supervision of teams involved in clinical studies, submit publications to refereed journals, attract external research funding to the Centre and provide support to research staff. You will provide high-level support, supervision and training to staff and students on the practical/analytical aspects of conducting EEG research.

What we are looking for

  • Hold a PhD in Neuroscience or a closely related discipline, or equivalent research, industrial or commercial experience.
  • Practical experience within a research environment and / or publication in relevant and refereed journals.
  • Experience of dealing with conducting clinical studies with healthy/patient populations.
  • Practical experience in a broad range of techniques including EEG data analysis.
  • Practical experience within a research environment and / or publication in relevant and refereed journals.
  • Knowledge of conducting and analysing EEG/EEG data in a clinical study.
  • Knowledge of research methods and statistical procedures.
  • Ability to conduct a detailed review of recent literature.

This is a Full Time and Fixed Term role for 2 years based at the Hammersmith Campus.
