Job SummaryAs a Financial Analyst with Cards & Loyalty Performance Management you will work directly with the Credit Cards and Loyalty Finance teams on month-end and quarter-end reporting activities, streamlining reporting processes and working on ad-hoc basis special projects. You will also work with our partners to learn about Financial Institutions, Finance and how to provide value added financial advisory support. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with an analytical mindset, and a willingness to learn about the RBC’s Retail Banking business.Job DescriptionWhat will you do?
- Work independently on projects and work streams to identify and streamline processes in the forecasting, planning and monthly reporting processes.
- Understand, dissect and analyze credit card products profitability. Improve product reports by incorporating business understanding and financial insights
- Participate in the review of new finance projects and initiatives. Engage in the review of process mapping narratives for enhanced documentation.
What do you need to succeed?Must-have
- Pursuit of a degree in Finance or Accounting with strong financial analysis/accounting background
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and independent worker with a solutions driven mind-set
- Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Excel and database software
- Interest in the financial services industry
Nice-to-have
- Knowledge or experience in Finance and Accounting and/or Retail Banking industry and banking products
