What is the job about?
Grundfos Canada is looking for a Regional Supply Chain Specialist for its CBS (Commercial Building Services) Americas Supply Chain team.
In this role, you will be responsible for DC (distribution center) Planning and Order Execution, evaluating and calculating optimal Finished Goods inventory level, managing and executing segmentation to secure right stock and availability, and acting as the primary Sales and Customer Service interface on delivery escalations.
You will report directly to the CBS Supply Chain Manager, Americas and will operate on a hybrid schedule out of our Oakville, ON office.
Your main responsibilities:

Act as the primary interface between Sales, Customer Service (CSSC), and Production Planning. Handle escalations and support Americas sales growth.

Execute and make sure that daily DC planning routines are performed.

Handle order execution and escalations from sales/CSSC.

Plan and execute segmentation according to group calendar and collaborate with sales and product management to achieve the right stock mix and increase the ratio of A and B products.

Monitor and review DC inventory including follow up on excess, obsolete and slow-moving stock.

Collaborate with sales/CSSC and plants to maintain the optimal Finished Goods inventory levels, increase inventory turns and reduce the past due order backlog.

Manage SAP Master Data for CBS Ptype products where needed (ATP, MOQ, ROP etc.)

Active participation in process improvement teams including Order-to-Delivery (OTD) and group process networks.

Lead and train coworkers in responsibilities associated with the DC Planner role.

Follow up that KPIs are on track and if not propose corrective actions.
Your background
We imagine that you have:
-
A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
-
Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a planning environment or in inventory control.
-
Logistics knowledge a plus but not a requirement.
-
Professional Certificate such as APICS /CPIM would be an advantage.

Knowledge of planning and inventory management principles.

Working knowledge of SAP (MM/PP) or similar ERP system.

Deep knowledge of MS Excel.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
-
Ability to problem solve complicated tasks in a timely manner.

Good collaborator and stakeholder management skills.

Highly energetic and execution focus.
-
A good problem solver who wants to take the extra step for the customer.

Strong internal motivation and comfort working in a highly matrixed environment with minimal day-to-day direction.
Please note that relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have the authorization to work in Canada without support.
