We are an organization where individuals’ contributions are valued and there are many opportunities for personal growth and development.Position SummaryThe Project Manager (Level II) manages complex, multi-track projects to an acceptable level of risk by balancing scope, time, cost and quality. This role focuses on improving the best practices of the project management community within the hospital to help drive consistency, transparency and execution excellence on projects.Please note this is a Children’s Treatment Network focused position.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and manages project documentation and budgets per project life cycle
  • Reports on progress/deliverables, project team deliverables, project timelines, and milestone progress
  • Prepares presentation material for appropriate audiences
  • Prepares proposals (project/funding)
  • Regularly engages with various project teams, clients, and stakeholders
  • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, resource plans, lessons learned documentation, role/task definitions, and status reports
  • Provides project management leadership on the execution of the plans
  • Conducts functional team meetings and presentations.
  • Ensures project alignment with Project management methodologies, supporting guidelines, standards and best practices
  • Supports team initiatives and work activities, such as data analysis reporting etc.
  • Works in collaboration with other Project Managers to provide expertise and support as needed or assigned
  • Utilizes disciplined and repeatable processes in project execution.
  • Reports, monitor and communicate project status, risks, mitigation, budget
  • Identifies, develop recommendations and escalate issues/risks as appropriate.

Leadership

  • Provides ongoing project specific leadership and direction to all project stakeholders including senior leadership, external providers and internal staff/management
  • Identifies project budget requirements, prioritizes, and requests resources through project sponsor, reviews and evaluates project results and implements improvement strategies to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency of processes
  • Supports management team in all areas by minimizing risks related to project implementation while enhancing service expectations and accountability

Relationship Management

  • Works with colleagues on internal and external hospital working groups, project teams, and committees
  • Develops, fosters, and manages effective business relationships and channels of communication
  • Builds relationships with Ontario Health Team partners to inform project planning and share past project experiences
  • Demonstrates sensitivity and political acuity in all interactions

Performs other duties as assigned by the direct manager.QualificationsEducation:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Health Sciences or equivalent professional experience required
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) or equivalent designation required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years relevant project management experience required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years in the healthcare or consulting field required
  • Experience as initiative lead/client management preferred
  • Knowledge/experience in children’s services preferred (e.g. CERNER Oracle)

Competencies:

  • Demonstrated expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools
  • Demonstrated a clear understanding of standard project management methodologies (Agile vs Waterfall)
  • Demonstrated expertise with Office 365 and project management tools, experience with MS Office with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and MS Visio
  • Demonstrated leadership, relationship management, and change management skills
  • Sound knowledge of project management and applicable healthcare industry experience
  • Experience with developing work flows and requirements
  • Ability to travel (when required) to support project implementation
  • Strong communicator, stakeholder engagement, presentation skills, vendor relations, work flow analysis/business requirements
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage deadlines effectively
  • Team player, collaborative, and articulate
  • Detail-oriented and well organized with good judgment
  • Ability to problem-solve with strong risk management skills
  • Ability to multi-task on projects, varying in complexity with the ability to balance priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Strong team player with proven interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively and work closely with business partners, vendors, application developers, development managers, business project managers, product managers, subject matter experts and facilitators
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting
  • Ability to meet deadlines while producing high-quality deliverables
