Job Summary
We are looking for dedicated Academic Coaches to provide personalized academic support to secondary students in the Aurora/Richmond Hill area. As an Academic Coach, you will help students build confidence, improve academic performance, and develop essential skills. Your role will involve providing guidance on the Ontario curriculum, assigning supplemental work to reinforce learning, and offering both remedial and enrichment support.
You will also communicate regularly with students’ parents or guardians to ensure progress and address any concerns. Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification is preferred.
Key Responsibilities

Provide academic coaching and support to secondary students based on expertise and knowledge of the Ontario curriculum.

Develop and assign supplemental assignments to promote greater understanding of course material.

Offer both remedial and enrichment support to meet students’ individual needs.

Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and strategies for improvement.

A qualified applicant will meet at least one of the following criteria:

Hold a registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT).

Be qualified to teach in a Canadian Province/Territory outside of Ontario.

Be qualified to teach in the United States.

Be a current teacher candidate pursuing a Bachelor of Education.

Have experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited Canadian University or College.
