Your Role

This is a dedicated Import Drayage role within Sea Logistics Drayage Solutions (SDS) department. Responsible of day-to-day coordination of operations for last mile deliveries of FCL containers, in collaboration with approved trucking vendors, OCC Exports, other departments or SDS direct customers.

Your Responsibilities

  • Monitor all incoming delivery orders from OCC Import, KN Customs, other relevant departments and direct customers.

  • Efficiently assign and dispatch shipments to KN-approved truckers in a timely manner.

  • Perform daily tracking and tracing activities at all port or rail terminals to ensure smooth movement of FCL containers.

  • Verify container pickup numbers, terminal locations, and empty return details as needed.

  • Liaise with steamship lines, CN/CP Rail, port terminals, and trucking terminals to resolve any operational issues.

  • Maintain positive relationships with trucking carriers on a partnership basis to facilitate smooth operations.

  • Monitors and updates daily statuses entry in order to ensure that department KPI are meet

  • Assure all cost and revenue charges are entered on the operational system and communicated to internal/ external customers within the day as per internal agreements.

  • Communicate promptly with OCC imports colleagues and customers regarding container cycles, costs, and any other relevant information.

  • Support accounting administration by providing backup documentation for billing functions and extra charges.

  • Collaborate with CCL to establish standard operating procedures (SOP) and service level agreements (SLA) for customer setups and special arrangements.

  • Resolve internal and operational issues efficiently to prevent service deficiencies and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Provide training to new team members, including co-op students, on TOPS and Blume functionality and CN/CP track and trace procedures.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • High School Degree/Diploma in supply chain management or similar field 

  • 2+ years of freight forwarding or trucking (dispatching) experience in Imports & Exports

  • Knowledge of Canadian ports and containers drayage procedures

  • Advanced computer skills, including full proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel)
