This role is located at CFB Trenton, Ontario.As part of a team, provides preventive and corrective maintenance, as detailed in the quality and maintenance documents, to achieve required availability and reliability on flight training devices in terms of the reported metrics (e.g. down time, lost time, etc).Perform Elementary, Servicing and Maintenance duties in support of the CC130H Flight SimulatorMonitors all training devices and ensures the resolution of system actual and potential problemsConfers with technical experts and colleagues to formulate solutionsDebug and troubleshoot complex problems spanning a wide range of technologies, including, but not limited to: computer systems, visual systems, Hydraulic motion system, and avionics systemsAvailable to work shifts and weekends as requiredJob QualificationsTechnical college diploma in electronics or aviation or 4 years of related experienceCustomer-centric with experience and success providing customer serviceAbility to handle sensitive situations with tact and be a dynamic team playerStrong knowledge of English, read, written and spokenStrong communication skillsThorough understanding of aircraft terminology or simulation devicesAbility to interpret schematics and other technical documents pertaining to simulators and aviationMust have superior troubleshooting skills to component level and in-depth knowledge of the use of electronic testing equipment and advanced software diagnostic utilitiesPhysically able to perform manual labour tasksBe able to hold a Canadian Security Clearance & Controlled Goods ClearanceEligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen, a Permanent Resident or with a valid Work Permit Assets: experience on CC-130H Aircraft or training devices, knowledge of simulationCAE offers youWorking environment of 2024 Canada’s top 100 employersA dynamic and innovative environment in which to growA stimulating career path and internal mobilityAttractive benefits, including but not limited to:Defined benefits retirement planStocks purchased planFlexible vacationsCompetitive maternity and parental leave policiesAnd moreDoes this sound like something you are up for?
