The departments within the School are located on our Grande Prairie campus and our Fairview campus. The School offers a variety of programming in Fine Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Sciences, and Animal Health Technology. Through this programming, we offer a variety of certificates, diplomas, university transfer courses, as well as a degree in computing science.The RoleThe Humanities and Social Sciences Department requires an English Instructor to teach an undergraduate-level course in professional and academic writing (WR1010). This course helps students build their understanding of writing and presentation mechanics, style, and tone as well as academic referencing.One section of this course will be offered asynchronously online this spring session from May 5 to June 27. Evidence of successful instruction of undergraduate courses in English is an asset. Necessary skills and attributes to be successful in this role include:Ability to apply different instructional strategies to meet the needs of and support diverse learners;Knowledge of Northwestern Polytechnic courses and current educational technologies (e.g., videoconferencing, learning management systems);Ability to teach online;Student-focused;Strong organizational skills;Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; andA high level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.How to ApplyOnly applications received electronically will be considered.Upon submission of CVs, please also include:
