Login to your McGill Workday account and apply to this posting using the Find Jobs report (type Find Jobs in the search bar).Job Description:The Research Assistant 2 will:Conduct basic literature reviews, summarize and synthesize key findings from academic articles and sources.Assist with preliminary data analysis, including statistical analysis or qualitative coding as required by the project (s).Work closely with the Supervisor (Dr. Metallic) and other research team members on all ongoing academic research project activities.Help maintain project documentation and records.Assist with preparing research presentations, posters, or reports for dissemination.Communicate effectively with team members, providing updates and assisting with project logistics.Perform additional research-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor or project team based on project needs.Qualifications Required (skills and abilities, education, language skills):Education/experience requirements:PhD students/candidates in Education, Indigenous Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field (enrollment in a graduate program is an asset) will be given priority.Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills.Familiarity with academic research processes, including literature reviews and academic citation styles (APA).Experience with grant applications, budgeting, or financial tracking is an asset.Knowledge of Indigenous education, languages, and methodologies is highly valued.Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and reference management tools (e.g., Zotero, EndNote).Other information:Posting Timeline: This posting will be available for five (5) working days once it is posted.Status: Part-time, 15 weekly hoursHourly rate: $30.75Immediate Supervisor: Janine E.
