The Sauder School of Business of the University of British Columbia is seeking applicant(s) for Part-time instructor(s) position to teach Operations and Logistics courses beginning September 1, 2025. The expected salary range for the position is $3,000 to $4,000 per credit.
Qualifications:
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching experience.
• In particular, the candidate should have proven teaching experience in a broad variety of courses in the areas of operations management, business analytics and applied statistics.
• The ideal candidate will be able teach quantitative case-based courses in operations management at both the undergraduate and graduate level in the various professional programs offered at the Sauder School of Business.
• The candidate would ideally also have relevant academic and work experience in these same areas of expertise.
• Finally, the candidate should have familiarity with current classroom technology (Canvas) and delivery approaches.
• Attainment of Ph.D. degree in areas close to operations management is preferred.
Responsibilities: The position will focus on teaching graduate and undergraduate level courses in Operations and Logistics at the Sauder School of Business. Other responsibilities and expectations include: Liaising with faculty members to prepare syllabus and materials, course coordination and innovation, and participation in faculty and undergraduate/graduate program preparatory and review meetings, holding office hours and related activities. We also expect the candidate to engage in professional development.
