  • To support activities related to a study about cultural and gender safety for South Asian people in breast cancer screening
  • Activities related to the study include:
  • Completing all relevant research ethics board applications
  • Organizing meetings convening members of the research team, including emailing research team members about their availability, scheduling meetings, developing meeting agendas, recording and notetaking at meetings, and preparing written summaries of meetings and resulting action items
  • Communicating regularly with research team members via email and phone about study activities with an emphasis on engaging effectively with community partners in the research
  • Leading multipronged participant recruitment in different provinces and settings relevant to the research
  • Leading data collection and analysis including the collection of participant audiovisual and sociodemographic data, managing transcription of audio files, and conducting qualitative data analysis using NVivo software
  • Managing safe and secure data storage in compliance with institutional guidelines
  • Assist and work as part of a team with summer practicum students on research activities
  • Contributing to the development and submission of manuscripts resulting from the study, including manuscript writing and revision and reference management
  • Contributing to knowledge translation activities throughout the study, including oral presentations of research findings and recommendations to diverse community, health care, and policy audiences
  • Tracking research expenses in a meticulous and timely manner that is accessible and intelligible for relevant members of the research team
  • Communicating with the funding agency via email and telephone for any questions about scientific and financial reporting
  • Contributing to other study-related activities as needed

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in hand
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with health research, project management, knowledge translation, and community engagement
