Who we are looking for?
Rogers is seeking a Civil Engineering or Civil Specialist, reporting to the Manager of Civil Engineering, Site Maintenance, National Access Engineering at the Rogers Park Brampton Campus.
What you will be doing

Provide engineering technical support and structural review of all Inspection and Maintenance Reports and recommend, carry out appropriate remediation action
-
Engage Civil Engineering Consultants to complete site audits, Engineering Structural Analysis and Engineering Drawings for Site Maintenance projects.

Civil Eng. reviews accuracy, design feasibility, project scope and revisions as required
-
Engage, hire, and manage Tower Contracting firms to complete urgent, safety critical repair work
-
Civil Engineering guidance and solutions to resolve civil issues with compounds, access roads, antenna/lines, towers, foundations, grounding
-
Ensure Civil infrastructure compliance on all applicable safety codes, standards and Rogers Health and Safety rules

Active participation with Engineering review and approval for 3rd party incoming co-locates on Rogers owned towers
-
Provide Civil Engineering support during customer impacting events to provide transport re-routing and service restoration
-
Support for Field Operations, Network Implementation, Radio Engineering, Transmission, and Equipment Engineering as needed for resolution of civil infrastructure issues

Train and support regional Civil Engineering to improve workflow, document storage and understanding of Rogers Standards to improve production quality; efficiency

Provide feedback from maintenance programs ro improve Civil Design Engineering standards, guidelines, technical bulletins.

Work closely with Civil Engineering, National Standards to assist with preparation of required documentation to cover technical requirements, test procedures, product integration/interoperability to source, trial, evaluate and approve new Civil structural equipment

Assist Real Estate and Field Operations with resolving landlord concerns, structural, esthetics, re-roofing etc

Perform other duties as required consistent with the principal objectives of the position.
What you will bring
-
Civil Engineer (P.Eng), Civil Technologist (C.E.T.), or equivalent degree and/or experience would be considered an asset
-
Fully bilingual candidates (French/English) will be highly considered
-
Working knowledge of telecom and construction industry codes and standards, including relevant CSA standards and the Building Codes
-
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
-
A mindset of teamwork, creativity, innovation and energetic drive to succeed
-
Ability to manage working on multiple projects and while dealing critical structural situations
-
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio) and Familiarity with CAD software.

Valid driver’s license considered an asset
