Job description
The Part-time Academic will teach in person lectures and labs for HORT2011 Arboriculture for the period of September to December 2025. Lectures are scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:35 to 12:55 and the labs are scheduled Mondays from 11:35 to 2:25pm. The Part-time Academic will use Brightspace to administer the course. The Part-time Academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, labs, test preparation and online evaluation. The position reports to the chair of the Department.
Qualifications/Requirements of PositionAt least 5 years experience teaching Arboriculture, and certification as an ISA Certified Arborist. Excellent oral, written communication, collegiality and interpersonal skills. As a technical course, a Bachelor of Technology in Horticulture is required OR a Masters/PhD in a related field.
Salary Range/Pay Rate Per CUPE Collective Agreement
