This is a strategic position for someone serious about taking the next step in their career.What You’ll Do:– Accurately estimate material, labor, and equipment costs for a variety of construction projects.
– Analyze drawings, technical specs, and related documents to prepare precise and competitive bids.
– Develop initial project budgets, suggest cost-saving solutions, and contribute to bid strategies.
– Collaborate closely with project managers, site superintendents, and subcontractors to gather key information.
– Identify risks and value-engineering opportunities within project scopes.
– Conduct quantity take-offs, source unit prices, and prepare detailed cost breakdowns.What You Bring:– Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
– Proven experience in construction estimating – preferably in building construction (not just specialty trades).
– In-depth understanding of general contracting, including materials, labor, and the logistics involved with each project.
– Proficiency with estimating software and general computer tools.
– Strong communication and teamwork skills.
