Job Description:Our client, a reputable construction firm in Toronto is expanding its business and looking for an experienced Project Manager with Civil construction experience.Your experience you bring will include:
- Experience in estimating civil infrastructure projects preferred
- Experience in civil projects such as transit projects (Bus Rapid Transit, Light Rail Transit and Railways), stations and facilities
- Design-build experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience implementing a strong safety culture by application of health, safety, and environment principles and legislation.
- In-depth knowledge of construction industry including building materials, construction specifications, methods and procedures, construction law and building codes, and safety and quality management practices.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provides overall contract administration, technical expertise, and support to a medium size construction project.
- Leading the pursuit of new work by participating in estimates, working with trad contractors and participating in proposals and presentations.
- Overseeing the development and implementation the project management plan and quality culture with stakeholder buy-in.
- Understands client drivers and offers value engineering proposals for functionality, cost, and schedule benefit.
- Monitoring project performance, status reports for safety, cost forecast, and schedule.
- Identifying and managing risk and opportunities on construction projects.
