We will prioritize candidates who reside in or near Cobourg Ontario.At this time we are not accepting candidates that are currently attending school as this position does require you to work 40 hours a week and rotating shifts. Please note: previous janitorial experience is a must.Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Industrial Cleaner to join our clients team. This is a full-time fixed term 3 to 6 month contract position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in in a manufacturing environment, ensuring that all spaces are hygienic and presentable. This role is essential in providing a safe and pleasant atmosphere for employees, clients, and visitors.Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks in designated areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Utilize appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure thorough cleaning of surfaces.
• Follow established procedures for cleaning and sanitizing to maintain health standards.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained in good working condition and stored properly after use.
• Assist with special cleaning projects as needed, including deep cleaning tasks or event setups.
• Laundry duties including coveralls, towels, work wear in support of the facilities requirements
• This position may require you to work at heights to perform vacuuming or mopping walls, etc.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good physical stamina; ability to lift and move items as necessary during cleaning tasks.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols is a plus.
• Must be able to work shift work

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is an asset
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation practices.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Team player

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contractPay: From $24.03 per hourAdditional pay:
