The role will also include assisting in planning events along with working on day-to-day maintenance and monitoring of the lab. The assistant will also help the supervisor with miscellaneous projects throughout the semester as needed.Job Description:Help control access to the lab and the computer terminals as well as supervise the physical or online space in the absence of the Lab Supervisor to ensure efficiency in lab operations. Offer support to lab users for available software and databases (initial training will be provided if needed). Help with day-to-day tasks and maintenance of resources and websites in the lab. Assist the Lab Supervisor in the organization of events (training sessions, presentations, workshops, competitions, etc.) as well as the organizers during these lab events. Help monitor lab reservations and scheduling. Help with the maintenance of the Finance Lab website, subject guides and social media updates. Provide feedback on existing or potential software and databases as well as find opportunities for curriculum integration with the lab. Collect lab metrics.QualificationsDisplay initiative, professionalism, communication, and organizational skills. Display interest, or experience, in working with the public and providing customer service or training. Experience in searching for information and working with financial databases such as Bloomberg, Factset and Capital IQ. Knowledge of RIT is a strong asset. (Please attach your Bloomberg BMC or Factset certificates if available) Ability to learn and develop expertise in lab resources independently (initial training will be provided if needed). Display knowledge or have an interest in finance, capital markets.
