If you are looking for an exciting next step in your career working on an impactful space program with one of our largest Aerospace Clients this opportunity may be for you!Job DescriptionAs python developer you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of LEO lightspeed networks by leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Network Management System across various segments of the LEO Lightspeed systems. You will take ownership of complex technical challenges, driving them to successful resolution through expert analysis, collaboration, and innovative problem-solving. Within our Agile SAFe framework, you will play a key role in the scrum team, actively contributing to the release train and ensuring the timely delivery of robust, scalable, and high-quality EMS solutions.Your role will be instrumental in optimizing network performance, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring a seamless customer experience.Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and design applications to configure, monitor and manage network elements
- Work closely with vendors to evaluate and implement new network management solutions and stay up to date with industry trends.
- Review and approve design and development solution documents, internal and external test strategies, plans, test cases and scripts.
- Develop and maintain accurate and up to date documentation of requirements, configurations, processes and procedures.
- Design, Develop, test and maintain Yang modules to implement resource and service management
- Implement real time network monitoring solutions to proactively identify and resolve network issues, minimizing downtime.
- Investigate and resolve complex implementation and network problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions.
- Develop and maintain automated test cases to verify element management functions.
- Implement and enforce security best practices to protect network systems and data integrity.
Skills
- 6-15 years of experience in a technical design and development role.
- Proficient in Layer 2/3 protocols, gRPC/gNMI/gNOI, HTTP/2, mTLS
- API proxy and medication implementation experience
- API driven automation and multi-vendor integration and orchestration experience
- Programming skills in modern Python 3.x, and BDD test frameworks
- Experience in developing software container hosted in Linux environment
- Working knowledge of protobuf, Yang, NMTS XML, YAML, JSON encoding, and template language (e.g. Jinja2)
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
- Experience with NMS tools like Netcracker Digital OSS, ONAP, Ciena Blue Planet, Amdocs
