Job Description

CPP Investments has an opening for an Analyst, legal Operations in the Legal Department. Reporting to a Manager, Legal Operations, this is an opportunity to join CPP Investments’ legal team and provide experiential insight and guidance on legal operations initiatives to help the efficiency of the organization.

Team Description

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of legal and compliance professionals who engage directly with senior leadership, investment groups and other business units to help them navigate, understand and comply with regulatory requirements in a manner consistent with our Guiding Principles and our mandate to help ensure a stable retirement income for 20 million CPP contributors and beneficiaries.

Accountabilities:

  • Assist with legal metrics and data analytics tools
  • Regular review of content in the Legal knowledge management SharePoint sites
  • Assist in the production of documentation and process maps for internal procedures
  • Support the annual records retention process for the Legal group
  • Maintain Legal Tracker and roadmap
  • Assist in the data room preparation, in collaboration with Technology & Operations
  • Support compliance-related activities
  • Assist in other ad hoc legal operations projects

Qualifications

  • Preferred 1–3 years’ experience
  • Experience with a legal e-billing platform / legal technology platforms
  • Proficiency in Tableau / PowerBI / Excel / Data analytics tool(s)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to draw insights, analyze metrics, and convey ideas clearly and concisely
  • Self-starter who works both independently and with a team, while fostering a collegial and creative team culture
  • Familiarity with compliance-related processes and willingness to develop expertise in this area
  • Prior experience working with Generative AI (GenAI) tools
