The successful candidate will hold credentials in anesthesia with sub-specialty training in intensive care being an asset. We are seeking a candidate with a record of success in clinical education, clinical research – as either a primary or co-investigator – and they should have a solid publication record. The incumbent will bring their research experience to a collaboration with the Population Health Research Institute (PHRI), with expectation of successful future grant awards aligning with the goals of PHRI and Anesthesia.
The incumbent will have experience in anesthesia clinical services, including a focus on critically ill patients, and will demonstrate clinical leadership in acute care. The incumbent will demonstrate experience teaching undergraduate medical students and postgraduate residents in anesthesia, as well as experience with the supervision of clinical fellows and work with other allied health professionals.
It is required to be licensed (or eligible for license) with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and should be certified (or eligible for certification) by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
The successful candidate will become a full-time member of the Department of Anesthesia and will be expected to fully participate in all appropriate departmental educational activities. Collaboration with other departments and researchers in Health Sciences will form part of this appointment to ensure the continuation and development of research and clinical education.
Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
