We are looking for a candidate with proven expertise in creative film practice and a strong history of successful post-secondary teaching. The ideal candidate will have an MFA in Film/Media Production and a significant record of professional or peer-reviewed creative-critical work, with preference given to those specializing in dramatic filmmaking and/or animation. The successful candidate will teach a variety of undergraduate courses, which may include dramatic film, 2D and 3D stop-motion animation, screenwriting, editing, audio production, documentary film, experimental film, and darkroom photography. Situated on Treaty Four land, the Department of Film at the University of Regina is the only university department between the Great Lakes and Vancouver to offer a BFA degree in Film Production. We also offer MFA and MA programs and BA and BA (Honours) degrees in Film Studies. The Department of Film is dedicated to teaching film in an interdisciplinary environment within the Faculty of Media, Art, and Performance.
