Together, we provide our clients an unmatched experience.Job DescriptionYour application will be considered for roles across these business areas within RBC Wealth Management:What is the opportunity?We are seeking a Summer intern for a Technology/Developer role (including but not limited to the following: Software Developer, Quant Developer, Operation Analyst and Cybersecurity, IT Risk Analyst, and QA Automation Analyst) to join the RBC Wealth Management Team. If you are passionate to learn about IT operation and technical support, please read on.What will you do?Participate in all parts of software development lifecycle – design, implementation, and rollout of production systemsCreate and review technical design documents, understand how the design will be used in the code development process, and facilitate meetings to design, troubleshoot, and enhancements developmentMonitoring email queue closely and picking up issues/requests in a timely mannerCreate ServiceNow tickets and assign them to the appropriate support teamsCreate and maintain knowledge documentsCreate design assets including user journey maps, wireframes, process flows, interaction designs and interactive prototypesEngage in other tech support project as neededUtilizing all available resources to perform issue investigation and troubleshooting e.g. documentation, escalations etc.Monitoring and improving the availability of our software solutions and data integration batch jobs.Proactively supporting in-house applications working with various monitoring toolsCreating and maintaining documentation for incident resolutionsConduct manual access reviews and role recertificationProvide guidance to business and technical stakeholders on RBC’s compliance standardsEngage in organization level remediation planningManage and conduct Non-Personal ID & Password Access Management remediation projectWhat do you need to succeed?Must have:Major in computer science or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and trainingExpert in SQL, C#, Java, NodeJS, Python, and Microsoft technologies can be beneficial (school project experience counts)Knowledge of supporting Windows and Mac operating systemsExperience with FigmaKnowledge of supporting mobile devices such as iPhones, iPads, and Android devicesAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamExcellent problem-solving skills, flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to changeStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both business users and technical individualsNice to have:Knowledge and experience in supporting a trade floor environmentUnderstanding of Active directoryUnderstanding of trading systems such as Bloomberg/Reuters productsPlease note:In order to be eligible for these student positions, you must either:Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; orIf you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfullyWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
