Accounting/Admin Clerk – Vaughan
Our Vaughan-based client is seeking an Accounting/Admin Clerk to support daily office and accounting operations. This entry-level role works closely with the office team to ensure accurate transaction recording, assist with A/P and A/R, process weekly payroll, and provide general administrative support. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys numbers and is eager to grow into full-cycle bookkeeping.
Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll
- Perform clerical accounting functions (A/P, A/R)
- Manage purchase orders, vendor invoices, and PO tracking
- Handle A/R follow-up and collections
- Assist with weekly EFT payment runs
- Prepare safety documentation and Certificates of Insurance (COI)
- Maintain and update certifications for field employees
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide office support
Qualifications
- Strong natural proficiency with math
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with office software and ability to learn new systems quickly
- 1–2 years of clerical accounting experience
- Experience with Jonas is an asset (training available for the right candidate)
