Ce poste fait partie du groupe de soutien juridique en litige de Montréal, lequel relève ultimement de la Gestionnaire du Soutien juridique au Canada.
Votre rôle
Dans le cadre de votre rôle, vous travaillerez auprès d’une équipe d’environ trois avocat·e·s pratiquant en litige, ce qui suppose un volume important de dossiers. Entre autres choses, vous préparerez des documents de nature juridique, incluant lettres et procédures, vous effectuerez une variété de tâches en lien avec la pratique, organiserez et tiendrez à jours les dossiers des client·e·s, en plus de tenir la gestion de l’agenda et des contacts avec la clientèle.
Ce poste nécessite une présence sur place au bureau à raison de 2 à 3 jours par semaine, selon l’évolution des besoins d’affaires.
Ce poste en est un de soutien, soit admissible au temps supplémentaire.
Vos responsabilités
Une grande partie de ce rôle serait impossible à accomplir sans des compétences en anglais de niveau minimalement intermédiaire et ce tant à l’écrit qu’à l’oral puisque la personne titulaire du poste sera appelée à interagir et collaborer régulièrement avec certain··e·s client.e.s dont la langue d’affaire est l’anglais, notamment par la préparation, la mise à jour, la révision de documents écrits en anglais et les suivis de dossiers avec des locuteurs anglophones. De plus, nos adjoint·e·s juridiques travaillent au sein de groupes de pratique élargis et se remplacent systématiquement auprès d’avocat·e·s dont les activités nécessitent l’usage de l’anglais verbal et écrit. Dans le cours normal des activités du bureau, la personne titulaire du poste devra également collaborer avec nos services de soutien juridique et administratif dont les employé.e.s se situent ailleurs au Canada et aux États-Unis.

The Team
This position is part of the litigation legal support group in Montreal, which ultimately reports to the Legal Support Manager for Canada.
The Role
In this role, you will be working for a team of around three lawyers practicing in litigation, which implies a large volume of files. Amongst other things, the legal assistant will prepare legal documents including letters and proceedings, carry out a variety of tasks related to the lawyers’ practice areas, as well as organize and update client and lawyer files, in addition to managing lawyers’ calendars and their client contact lists.
This position requires the incumbent to work on site at the Montreal office 2 to 3 days, contingent upon evolving business needs.
This position is a support role which is overtime eligible.
