As an Advanced Field Service Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in providing technical expertise and support to our customers. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining our advanced systems. Your knowledge and skills will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of our products in the field.You will report directly to our Field Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our designated customer sites across various locations within Newfoundland.This role requires frequent travel and the ability to work in diverse environments. In this role, you will have a direct impact on our customers’ satisfaction and the success of our business. Your ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues will contribute to the overall reliability and performance of our products.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide on-site technical support to customers, including troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of advanced systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities to ensure the optimal performance of our products.
- Document and report all service activities, including findings, recommendations, and solutions.
- Train customers on the proper use and maintenance of our products.
YOU MUST HAVE
- College Diploma or degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Computer science, Information technology, or engineering.
- Minimum 5 Years’ experience in the design, implementation and maintenance of building automation technologies, Enterprise Applications and Connected Services
- 5+ years with Enterprise Applications and Connected Service (HVAC, DVM, Security, OBS, Fire etc.)
- 5+ years experience using industry standard communications protocols (BACnet, Modbus, OPC, SNMP, API)
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

- Knowledge of ICT/Cybersecurity fundamentals
- Fundamental knowledge of 3rd party IoT technologies and software applications
- Demonstrated experience in organizing and directing work activities according to priorities, and meeting deadlines involving multiple systems projects and vendors.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative and creative solutions in a complex multiple systems environment.
- Excellent knowledge of industry standard open communications protocols
- Basic network fault finding capability.
- Knowledge of system monitoring toolsets
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (DB, SQL, scripting)
- A strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment.
- Strong knowledge of IP network technologies (switch, router, firewall) and solutions, and proficient with IP addressing and allocation
- Willing to develop extensive product knowledge in formal training, and in “on the job” environments, working with the latest Honeywell technology.
- Ability to identify technical solutions to customers’ business needs.
- Understanding of Honeywell building technologies and application (BMS, Security, CCTV, Fire etc.)
- Proven track record in a project engineering capacity involved in the design and delivery of technology-based projects.
