AltaGas – Benefits Administrator (One Year Term)
Join us as a Benefits Administrator! Where you’ll administer employee benefits programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and support our team and HR department. You Will:
Administer and manage all aspects of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans
Coordinate annual open enrollment, new hires, and life event processing
Ensure compliance with federal and provincial regulations related to benefits administration
Provide support and guidance to employees regarding benefits inquiries and issues
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee benefits
Prepare and verify statements of earnings, including deductions for taxes, union dues, garnishments, and insurance
Process benefits payments and handle special payments such as bonuses and vacation pay
Complete and process forms and documentation for benefits administration, including pension plans, leaves, and insurance
Process monthly billing in a timely manner
Compile and monitor statistical reports related to pay and benefits accounts
Assist in the development and implementation of benefits policies and procedures
You Have:
2+ Years in benefits administration
Strong knowledge of Canadian benefits regulations and compliance requirements
Proficiency in using HRIS and payroll systems, Workday experience would be preferred
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience managing change, shaping culture, influencing leadership, developing talent, managing risk and ensuring compliance
