Come be a part of the team.Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Android Engineer to join the team who has a passion for exciting new mobile experiences and a drive for excellence in execution. The Android Engineer will work with the talented Digital Labs team to deliver exciting and innovative new mobile experiences that shape the landscape within sports and entertainment.Position Type: Freelance 12-Month Contract

  • Design, build, and maintain projects on the Android platform while ensuring the quality and performance of those projects.
  • Investigate new technologies to improve current features or to identify potential new features.
  • Work closely within your operational team to help define and build new features.
  • Be part of an agile team and participate in related rituals.

  • Strong background in professional experience developing and releasing Android software.
  • Experience with Kotlin/Java and MVVM/MVI architecture.
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose.
  • Expertise working with RESTful API’s to connect with backend endpoints.
  • Proficient with Git and code versioning tools, debugging tools, and the ability to troubleshoot problems.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous development tools and platforms, along with Gradle/Maven package managers.
  • Understanding of push notification services.
  • Previous experience with Firebase analytics and data analytics integrations.
  • Working knowledge of content management systems and familiarity with crafting front-end models to support their usage.
  • Familiarity with leveraging AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to assist in software development.
