Students will be encouraged to reflect on the transversal skills, particularly the uOCompetencies, acquired during the experiential activity, while making connections with the academic learnings from their studies.
The professor who will be hired will also be responsible for the equivalent courses SSP3900; AHL3910; ADM3997, which will be offered simultaneously and on the same schedule. The course will be offered in English and French through a single section and requires full written and oral bilingualism. The course serves students in several faculties with a wide range of requirements, including the Telfer School of Business. A PhD in the arts or humanities and an MBA are required, as well as experience teaching in both the humanities and business administration. The candidate must also hold a credential in workforce development (e.g., CHRP) and have demonstrated professional and academic experience in workforce development program development and workplace assessment. The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of and experience with the University of Ottawa’s experiential learning framework and the self-directed course model. Knowledge of and experience working with co-op and career development resources at the University of Ottawa are an asset.Additional Information and/or Comments:An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
