Job Description

This position involves piecing together parts according to drawings and procedures using tools and fasteners. The assembler will perform a variety of subassembly and final assembly operations of units with variable shapes and sizes.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of subassembly and final assembly operations of units having variable shapes and sizes.

• Follow specified methods and procedures required to make designated assemblies using hand and power tools and test equipment.

• Conduct, analyze, and record test results.

• Ensure job meets all requirements before leaving the work center.

• Meet or exceed established production levels.

• Participate in supplier development.

Essential Skills

• 1.5+ years performing mechanical assembly.

• Experience using hand and power tools.

• Experience working off blueprints/diagrams.

Why Work Here?

Eligible for profit sharing after 1 year with the company. The time on contract will count towards the 1 year. Profit sharing will equal 10%, which is about $10,000 per year added into an RRSP account. The work environment features very high ceilings and is well lit. You will be joining a friendly team with nice supervisors.

Work Environment

Medium-sized manufacturing company with 6 assembly work stations, 8 welding cells, a paint booth, and an EPOXY mold department with over 10 machines. The facility is over 200,000 square feet, very clean, and has bright lighting. The available shift is for straight days (7am to 3:30pm).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brampton, Ontario.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $20.00/hr.
