The Department of Marketing invites applications for a full-time tenured or probationary (tenure-track) position at the Assistant, Associate or Professor rank, commencing July 1, 2026, or on a date mutually agreed upon. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The I. H. Asper School of Business is the principal business school in the province of Manitoba and is accredited by AACSB. The school offers undergraduate, MBA, M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees as well as Executive Education programs. The Asper School is a research-intensive institution comprised of over 75 full-time faculty members who publish in leading academic journals. The Asper School also houses the state-of-the-art David Dreman Behavioural Management Lab.

ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE OR PROFESSOR:

The candidates should have the ability to teach in one or more of the areas of marketing analytics, marketing strategy, digital marketing, consumer behavior, marketing research methods, or social marketing. Duties include research, teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and professional service for the School, the University, and the community. The normal teaching load at the Asper school is four courses (e.g., 2 + 2).

Substantial start up research funding is provided to new faculty members, as is a fully paid six-month sabbatical after three years (which extends the tenure clock by a full year).

Candidates must have completed or have nearly completed a Ph.D. in Marketing or a closely-related field. We are seeking candidates from all sub-disciplines of marketing or related disciplines that would complement the current research profile of the department. The candidates should have strong research orientation and a record of high-quality publications or, in the absence of publications, the potential to publish in top-tier marketing journals. Candidates’ fit with the collegial culture in the marketing department is an important requirement. To be considered at the Associate or Full Professor level, in addition to having a high-quality publication record and an active research program, candidates must have also demonstrated strong leadership skills, evidence of graduate student supervision, and evidence of effective teaching.
