The Department of Kinesiology & Physical Education at Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications for a Tenure Track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the area of Neuromechanics and Movement Neuroscience beginning July 1, 2026 subject to budgetary approval. The primary campus location for this position is Waterloo; however, teaching responsibilities may include instruction at the Brantford and Milton campuses via in-person or virtual delivery.

Anticipated Salary Range: $90,000 to $130,000. Actual salary to be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications
Applicants should hold a PhD in Kinesiology or related discipline in Neuromechanics and Movement Neuroscience

Duties and responsibilities of the position include:
• Research specialization and expertise in neuromechanics, anatomy, motor control, neuroplasticity, and movement-related disorders across the lifespan; evidence of the ability to secure external funding and conduct independent research in this area
• Ability to teach courses in more than one of the following areas:
o Human Anatomy/Anatomy & Physiology 1 and 2; Functional Anatomy:
o Statistics and Research Methods
o Neuroanatomy
o Motor Control and Neuroscience of Movement
o Biomechanics
• Collaborate and engage with other faculty members within the Department and Faculty of Science
• Contribute to the department and institutional culture through service
