Description:
The Vancouver School of Economics at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver Campus invites applications for up to 2 tenure-track positions at the level of Assistant Professor, with anticipated starting date: July 1, 2026.

We are seeking outstanding candidates to fill one position in International Trade/Spatial, as well as a second position in one of the following fields: Environmental and Energy Economics, Economic History, Development Economics, or Labour Economics. However, truly exceptional candidates working in other applied fields may be given consideration.
Qualifications: For appointment at the Assistant Professor level, the candidate must have a Ph.D. (or solid indication of imminent completion) in a relevant field, and demonstrate excellence or clear promise of excellence in teaching and in research. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active program of research, teaching, graduate supervision, and service. This position is subject to final budgetary approval. The expected salary range is CAD $14,833/month – $15,667/month; salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
