The Opportunity
The Department of Management and Organizations in the School of Business invites applications for an entry-level, full-time, tenure-track appointment in Human Resources Management at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2026, subject to final budgetary approval.
The Department of Management and Organizations has 18 full-time faculty and offers Human Resources Management and Management majors, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Property Management minors, in addition to Honours Designations in the Bachelor of Commerce.
You will teach a variety of undergraduate human resources management courses (e.g., Introduction to HRM, Employee Relations, Compensation, Learning and Development, HR Analytics, and Program Evaluation), pursue academic and/or community-based scholarship, and work collaboratively to contribute service to the operation of the University.
Qualifications
You must have, or be close to completion of, a terminal degree in Human Resources Management or a closely related field, and you will demonstrate a primary commitment to undergraduate teaching and an ongoing research program. A professional Human Resources designation, such as CPHR, and professional experience in HR will be considered an asset.
You will submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, teaching dossier (including recent teaching evaluations), statement of research interests, and a sample of scholarly work.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted by the Department Chair to provide three (3) letters of reference sent directly from referees.
Only selected candidates will be required to submit official transcripts sent directly from the institutions where you completed your degrees.
