Assistant Professor Position in Chemical Engineering

The Department has a particular interest in candidates specializing in Process Intensification or Bioprocess engineering. However, outstanding applicants working in other areas of Chemical Engineering will also be given full consideration.

Process Intensification: Process intensification encompasses advances in catalysis, thermodynamics, advanced separations, and integrated process design and optimization, including the scaling and modularization of chemical processes and the use of novel energy inputs (electrification, plasma-technology), enabling efficient and sustainable chemical systems with applications in industrial decarbonization, CO₂ capture and conversion, the circular economy, and water and energy recovery.

Bioprocess Engineering: Bioprocess engineering encompasses bioprocessing, novel bioreactors or scale-up and scale-down approaches, downstream processing of biologics, bioprocess intensification, process analytical technologies and process control applied to biologics, omics technologies for bioprocess optimization, continuous biomanufacturing, and biomaterial fabrication.
