The Department of Political Science at the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) acknowledges that UPEI is located on the unceded land of the Mi’kmaq Nation of the Wabanaki Confederacy in the traditional district of Epekwitk. We welcome applications for a 10-month position in Political Science at the rank of Assistant Professor.
The prospective candidate will be prepared to teach courses at all undergraduate levels in two of the following fields: Comparative, Theory, International, Canadian and Public Policy.
This appointment is expected to start on July 15, 2025, subject to final budgetary approval.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have a completed, or nearly completed, doctoral degree in political science, a record of successful teaching, a dynamic or promising record of scholarly research and publishing, a commitment to collegial and collaborative relationships, and a capacity and interest in working across disciplines.
The ability to connect with other programs at UPEI, such as Indigenous Knowledge, Diversity and Social Justice, Island Studies or Clean Technology Leadership will be considered an asset.
The salary is commensurate with credentials and experience. This appointment is subject to final budgetary approval.
