BACKGROUND & PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Canada Deodorants is a category leader with 42% market share & providing superior whole-person wellbeing through irresistible products, joyful experiences, and purposeful brands. We are seeking a Associate Engagement Lead, APDEO to partner with the Deodorants cross functional marketing team to deliver the Canada 2025-2026 growth strategy.

PC End to End Marketing Organization: We are building a true E2E demand creation engines – to empower our marketeers to do what they do best, and setting us up to win today and in the future.  By having a clear distinction in scope of work for demand generation and CS&P, we believe we can accelerate decision making and empower focused teams to ultimately better drive our growth agenda.

As the Associate Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for bringing the brand to life and increasing equity with consumers – both online and offline, along with developing digital capabilities for APDEO and Personal Care.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • You will need to have a strong understanding & appreciation for relevant consumer & cultural trends especially on digital and social media channels. Keeping a pulse on the ever-evolving media landscape to get ahead of the curve.

  • Accountable for driving unmissable brand superiority via brilliant execution of brand on ground activation and PR.

  • Lead scale activations and events for Sports marketing especially FIFA 2026 and Canada Soccer partnership.

  • Developing and accelerating social first deployment capabilities with internal stakeholders and external agencies. Use data to inform, experiment, refine and drive social first marketing. By the end of 2025, ensuring all cleansing brands excel on social and digital and win handsomely with Canadian consumers.

  • Working closely with US brand partners to understand last 2 years’ journey on social first, optimizing Canadian ways of working with social agencies be it modular creative development, measurement framework with media agencies and converting learnings into actionable insights into brand plans.

  • Actively track social media and cultural trends in Canada with the help of CMI, agencies and global trends. Educate brand leads on the same and help translate that into contextual and/or agile marketing campaigns in real time with speed and agility

  • Lead community management for all APDEO brands. In cases where the social pages are managed by NA teams, work closely with community management team leads there to be the brand voice for Canadian consumers.

  • Work closely with Others Say Lead and Shopper marketing lead for PC to translate brand plans to strong retailer plans to drive traffic & unlock growth online and in store for our top 5 retailers.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • A self-starter with excellent bias for action, who proactively loves brands and marketing and is keen on learning and deploying new marketing ways

  • Solid experience leading Social Media channels, Digital Marketing and/or e-commerce preferred

  • At least 3 to 5 years relevant marketing experience in CPG industry.

  • Prior experience in Canadian market preferred

  • Prior knowledge of the Deodorants category is a plus.
