About The Role

As an Associate Manager, People & Experience, you will be a key part of our People & Culture team and help GALE build a workplace where people feel valued, supported, and inspired to do their best work. You’ll act as both a trusted partner to managers and a friendly go-to resource for employees, helping us build a thriving, engaged, and compliant workplace.

Who You Are

  • You are an experienced HR professional with 5+ years’ experience across the HR discipline from nurturing growth, boosting performance, and keeping our best stars shining bright and inspiring others to elevate their performance
  • You know your way around employee relations and provincial employment laws, you’ve got global benefits and insurance knowledge up your sleeve, especially for Canada. (bonus points if you also understand US benefits)
  • You’re seen as the go-to person who effortlessly connects with employees and leaders alike, serving as a trusted advisor and champion for all. You inspire, motivate, and empower your teammates
  • Multiple projects? No worries!. You juggle them with grace and apply a smart thought process to roll out impactful initiatives in onboarding, training, engagement, and diversity. You have a knack for turning everyday workflows into pure productivity magic
  • Whether solo or with cross-functional teams, you are swift and responsive and bring organization and pinpoint attention to detail.
  • Handling confidential info with the utmost care and discretion is second nature to you.
  • Plus, your passion for learning means you’re always soaking up the latest HR trends and sharing your innovative ideas that spark positive change
  • CHRP/ CHRL certification preferred

What You’ll Do

  • Drive our entire HR cycle: Manage everything from onboarding, payroll, benefits, engagement, and beyond.
  • You’ll help shape every step of the employee journey
  • Create amazing first days: Own onboarding from start to finish, setting up payroll and benefits, introducing our culture and tools, and making every new hire feel important.
  • Wrap things up with care: Manage employee offboarding with professionalism and empathy , handle exits, deactivate accounts, and ensure a smooth transition for all
  • Champion employee relations: Be a trusted and responsive advisor for managers and team members like offering support, resolving workplace matters, and ensuring fairness and consistency across all HR programs and policies
  • Be the policy pro: Guide employees through GALE policies, helping everyone stay aligned, informed, and confident in the rules that keep us running smoothly
  • Keep People & Experience running strong: Support the delivery of HR programs, communications, and strategic initiatives that make a real impact on engagement and performance
  • Promote safety and compliance: Support Health & Safety initiatives, training programs, and ISO compliance efforts to maintain a secure and positive workplace.
  • Own our HR systems: Keep our HRIS data accurate, organized, and ready to inform smart decisions
  • Turn data into insight: Prepare reports and analytics that help our People & Experience team and leadership make data-driven decisions to continuously improve the employee experience
