Sous l’autorité du Vice-doyen principal, la personne retenue sera appelée à donner le cours ci-dessous listé.AUTOMNE 2025Le cours sera offert en Commodal, c’est à dire présentiel au Campus de Calgary et En Ligne sur la plateforme Zoom, les vendredis de16:30 à 19:25.Enseignement

• Dispenser un enseignement aux étudiants de premier cycle et aux cycles supérieurs
• Développer le contenu des cours assignés et être responsable de la conception de ces cours, de la méthodologie d’enseignement
• Assurer une disponibilité raisonnable pour la consultation des étudiants pendant et en dehors des heures de cours
• Contribuer au contenu des activités d’orientation des nouveaux étudiants
• Participer à l’enseignement savant en demeurant à jour et compétent en ce qui a trait au contenu et à la conception du cours assigné et à la performance de l’instructeur
• S’engager dans des tâches administratives liées à l’enseignement
• Assister aux orientations, aux réunions de la faculté, aux réunions liées au cours et aux autres activités liées à l’enseignement
• Transmettre le syllabus du cours à l’administration dans les délais impartis
• Soumettre à la fin du semestre un rapport au vice-doyen principal
• D’autres activités d’enseignement clairement définies, selon le cas, attribuées et convenues au moment de la nomination ou lors des assignations annuelles ultérieures

Profil recherché

• Posséder préférablement un doctorat en éducation, ou au moins avoir complété une maîtrise
• Faire preuve d’une expérience concrète d’enseignement au niveau du premier ou du deuxième cycle universitaire; un excellent dossier d’enseignement est requis
• Être dédié à l’engagement et la réussite des étudiants
• Démontrer de l’initiative et du leadership
• Posséder un excellent niveau de français écrit et oral, et un très bon niveau d’anglais pour comprendre les ententes, les politiques et les procédures de l’Université de l’Alberta
• Avoir un excellent esprit d’équipe et de collaboration
• Avoir une expérience en encadrement, accompagnement, monitorat d’étudiants
• Avoir une bonne compréhension du contexte d’apprentissage linguistique en milieu minoritaire

Reporting to the associate dean, the successful candidate will be expected to teach one or more of the courses listed below.FALL 2025The course will be offered in a blended format, i.e., in person at the Calgary Campus and online via Zoom, on Fridays from 4:30 p.m. to 7:25 p.m.Teaching

• Deliver instruction to undergraduate and graduate students
• Develop course content for assigned courses and be responsible for course design and teaching methodology
• Ensure reasonable availability for student consultations both during and outside of scheduled class hours
• Contribute to the content of orientation activities for new students
• Engage in scholarly teaching by remaining current and competent regarding the content and design of assigned courses, as well as instructor performance
• Participate in administrative tasks related to teaching
• Attend orientations, faculty meetings, course-related meetings, and other teaching-related activities
• Submit the course syllabus to the administration within the specified deadlines
• Submit a report to the Associate Vice-Dean at the end of each semester
• Perform other clearly defined teaching activities, as assigned and agreed upon at the time of appointment or during subsequent annual assignments

• Preferably hold a doctorate in education, or at minimum have completed a master’s degree
• Demonstrate concrete teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate university level; an excellent teaching record is required

• Possess an excellent level of written and spoken French, and a very good level of English to understand the agreements, policies, and procedures of the University of Alberta
