As part of our dynamic team, you can lead the way, as we continue our journey towards high reliability care!Humber River Health is a provider of Infant hearing diagnostic Auditory Brainstem Response assessments and rehabilitation services under the Early Abilities, Infant Hearing Program of OntarioRight now we’re looking for a Permanent Part-Time Audiologist to work in our Maternal & Child Program.Location: Wilson site
Employee Group: OPSEU 590Hours of Work: DaysResponsibilities:
- Evaluate hearing and provide habilitation for individuals from infancy to adulthood. Assessments include the use of Behavioural Observation, Visual Reinforcement, Play and Conventional audiometry.
- Hearing aid evaluations and verification along with routine hearing aid checks and readjustments for both the paediatric and adult populations.
- Collaborate with other member of the interdisciplinary team regarding patient care approaches and recommendations.
- Communicate effectively with other Audiologists as needed.
- Ensure a very high standard of patient care in accordance with The College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists.
- Ability to test a diversity of patients with developmental delays including but not limited to ASD, Global Developmental Delays and Blind Low Vision, preferred.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Audiology or equivalent
- Registration and a member in good standing, with CASLPO
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience working with the paediatric population required
- Sound professional knowledge and judgment in a clinical role
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Committed to providing patient family centered, evidence based practice in a fast paced clinical setting
- Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
