Fountain Tire Aldergrove, an established automotive repair shop, is looking for a responsible, safe, and dedicated associate to join our team as an Automotive Service Technician Apprentice (3rd or 4th year).Pay: $35-$40/hour depending on experience + productivity bonus averaging an additional $5 – $10 per hour!What is in it for you?

Primary Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair and complete service on customer vehicles as directed by work orders
• Complete and maintain a variety of safety courses including Whimis, TIA, Rim Safety course, and Customer Experience Standards
• Advise customers and customer-facing Associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
• Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune ups.
• The responsibility to keep yourself and your coworkers safe
• Operate company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
• Maintain mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts
• Pride in the work you’ve done keeping your customers safe and on the road, site or field!

Working conditions:

• A team environment where hard work, concise communication and clear heads are rewarded
• Consistent lifting of weights of approximately 25KG is required
• This work can unpredictable, physical, wet, cold, windy etc. and we need someone who will be up for the challenge
• This role requires nearly constant standing, crouching or kneeling

Qualifications:

• Must be registered in an Apprenticeship program (3rd or 4th year)
• A valid driver’s license is a must. We also need to see that you are responsible on the road by providing a satisfactory driver’s abstract
• Excellent customer service and a great attitude are a must
• A team player who takes pride in their work
