Zurich Canada is currently looking for an AVP, Market Insights & Analytics to lead the development and execution of internal and external analytics, insights and reporting tools to measure effectiveness and track targets for Zurich distribution teams and business units. Reporting to the VP, Sales & Customer Office, you will lead a team to provide insights across the entire portfolio, enterprise brands, and consumer segments.

What you will do:
• Support the development and execution of Zurich’s data storytelling by aligning analytics and initiatives with overall business goals
• Lead a team of analysts to drive actionable insights across the business.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders, executives and subject-matter experts to provide proactive analytical assistance and dashboard creation.
• Lead external broker and vendor management to develop innovative best practices.
• Consult with decision makers and senior management regarding strategic research, planning, and analysis, providing insights, knowledge, and understanding of business, products, and industry.
• Design and drive an agenda around the manipulation of data in new creative ways, assessing industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Frame and conduct analyses and presentations using complex data sets. Uncover key insights, design, develop, and evaluate predictive models and advanced algorithms.
• Direct efforts to design and implement scripts, programs, databases, and other software components. Advanced understanding of database warehousing methodologies and techniques.
• Translate analytic insights into concrete, actionable recommendations. Draw conclusions and influence strategy when communicating findings with both technical and non-technical team members.
• Understand and leverage company operations and processes that impact marketing and proposition development including Compliance, IT, underwriting administration processes, etc.
What you bring to the table:
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree and 10 or more years of experience in business, commerce or analytics areas.
• Post-graduate education in data & analytics considered an asset.
Preferred:
• Team leadership and training experience
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to lead strategic marketing projects and initiatives
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• People management experience
